The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the United Methodist University of Liberia (UMU), Rev. Dr. Samuel J. Quire, Jr., on Wednesday, January 31, 2018, appointed Dr. Albert B. Coleman as Interim President of the university until further notice. Bishop Quire made the appointment at a sending off party held in honor of Prof. Johnson N. Gwaikolo who has been serving the UMU as president until he was elected to the Liberian Parliament in October 2017. Prior to his appointment, Dr. Coleman served the university as Vice President for Academic Affairs. His appointment takes immediate effect.
