Sierra Leone Annual Conference votes to continue Episcopal Nominations

Members of the Sierra Leone Annual Conference (SLAC) meeting in Bo City, Sierra Leone at the 142nd Annual Session Friday, March 4, 2022, voted to go ahead with the Episcopal Nomination process even with the postponement of the General Conference. Conference members voted unanimously to continue with the agenda of the conference without alteration. The vote to nominate the Episcopal Candidate for onward election will take place on Saturday, March 5, 2022.

The nomination process was postponed with the SLAC met in its 141st Annual Session in Freetown, Sierra Leone in 2021 because of the postponement of the General Conference in the same year.

Bishop Warner H. Brown, Jr. will preside of the process tomorrow. He will be assisted by Bishop Samuel J. Quire, Jr. of the Liberia Episcopal Area and Rev. Dr. Maidstone Mulenga who is representing President of the Council of Bishops, Bishop Cynthia Fierro Harvey.
