UMU Students urged not to give up their trust in God

Students of the United Methodist University have been called upon to have faith in God so that their struggle through life will not be in vain.  Speaking to the 19th Graduating Class of the United Methodist University during their Baccalaureate program, the Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Liberia, Rev. Sanjee Abioseh Stepter said the students should embrace the message of God that will be directed at them.

“You have embarked on a trail and we are all gathered here today to celebrate this memorable thing in your life with you, Stepter said. She pointed out that God knows that there will be happiness in the future, that’s why he wants the students to endure the challenges before receiving their degrees. “Don’t give up your trust in God,” she warned

Sanjee urged the students to move forward with their life and walk with the spirit of endurance. “If nobody is going to graduate you, graduate yourself by the positive things you do in society,” she concluded.

For his part, the Resident Bishop of the United Methodist Church and Chairman of the United Methodist University’s Board of Directors, Bishop Samuel J. Quire, cautioned the students about the new wave of calmness that has over taken the City of Monrovia. “There is something new coming to Liberia,” he asserted. Quire told the 19th Graduating Class that something new is about to happen to Liberia.

“There is an atmosphere of prosperity that is hanging in the air over Liberia,” Quire noted. He also urged the students to use their degree or they will lose their degree. “Put yourselves into all of what you have learned here at the University. He challenged the students to put their skills to work so that in the end, the prosperity that is hanging in the air over Liberia will be theirs.
